Ronald Tan

Ronald Tan has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Ronald began their career as a Pastor at Faith Community Baptist Church, where they oversaw a group of lay leaders and coordinated national inter-denominational church seminars. After their role as a Pastor, Ronald joined International Enterprise Singapore as an Assistant Manager in International Partnerships, where they were responsible for marketing and attracting foreign economic agencies to establish business incubator hubs and enterprise centers in Singapore. Ronald also identified marketing opportunities and partners for Singapore companies in international markets such as India, the Middle East, and Europe.

Ronald then joined SingTel as a Market Development Manager, where they played a pivotal role in developing new business opportunities and negotiating commercial agreements for SingTel's International Data Connectivity Services in the India, Middle East, and Africa markets. Ronald successfully negotiated the first international data business agreement in the Middle East with Etisalat of UAE within nine months.

In 2005, Ronald joined Singapore Exchange (SGX) as a Vice President in Listings. During their tenure, they were the principal responsible for the strategic marketing and growth of the successful Real Estate Investment Trust (REITs), making it the largest REITs market in Asia excluding Japan. Ronald also acted as an Honorary Exco Member of REITAS (REIT Association of Singapore). Ronald led SGX's Equity Capital Market coverage for the Real Estate and Consumer Industry and initiated listings of all Business Trusts on SGX, including the successful Huthchison Ports Trust listing.

In 2020, Ronald joined REITAS (REIT Association of Singapore) as an Honourary Exco Member. At REITAS, they continued their involvement in the REIT industry and contributed their expertise to the association. Overall, Ronald's work experience showcases their strong leadership skills, strategic marketing abilities, and expertise in the real estate and telecommunications sectors.

Ronald Tan completed their GCE 'A' Level at National Junior College in 1990. Ronald then pursued a Bachelor of Business Administration, Honours (2nd Upper Class) degree in Marketing/Marketing Management at the National University of Singapore from 1993 to 1997.
