Kent Smith has a strong background in finance and accounting, with extensive experience as a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) in various companies. Kent started their career as a Staff Auditor at Laventhol & Horwath in 1989, before moving on to roles in Centex Homes, Highland Homes, and Grand Homes, where they served as a Division Controller, Assistant Controller, and AVP/Controller, respectively. In 2006, Kent joined Taylor Morrison as VP of Finance, and later worked as CFO at Holigan Investment Group. From 2009 to 2011, they served as CFO/Controller/Consultant to small business owners in Real Estate and Construction Companies. Kent's most recent position was as CFO at Cinergy Entertainment, where they worked from 2011 until 2021. Currently, they hold the position of Chief Financial Officer at Shaddock Homes.
Kent Smith obtained both their M.S. and B.S. degrees in Accounting from the University of North Texas, where they attended from 1983 to 1989.
