Tashia Scott

Tashia Scott has a varied and extensive work experience in the field of human resources. Tashia is currently working as the Human Resources Director at Shades of Light since 2022. Prior to this, they held the position of Human Resources Leader at Morrison Healthcare Food Svc @ VCUHS from 2020 to 2022. From 2017 to 2020, they served as a Human Resources Consultant at Virginia Community College System. Tashia also has experience as a Human Resources Director at White Lodging Services from 2014 to 2015, and as a Senior Human Resources Manager at ARAMARK Higher Education from 2008 to 2014. Their earlier experience includes working as a Recruitment Manager at MeadWestvaco (MWV) from 2004 to 2008.

Tashia Scott has a strong background in education with a Master's degree in Human Resources Management from the University of Richmond, which they completed from 2015 to 2017. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy from Virginia Commonwealth University, which they completed from 1994 to 1996.

In addition to their formal education, Tashia Scott has obtained several certifications in the field of human resources. Tashia is a SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP), having received this certification from SHRM in December 2015. Tashia also holds the PHR certification from the HR Certification Institute - HRCI, which they obtained in December 2001.
