Lorna Hyde

Lorna Hyde is the current Head of HR at Shaftesbury PLC. Prior to this, they were the Group Head of HR at OneOcean Group from January 2017 to November 2021. At OneOcean, Lorna was responsible for managing a team of three direct reports, implementing all people-based processes, and supporting the business through three mergers and acquisitions.

Lorna has a wealth of experience in HR, recruitment, and employee relations. Lorna is an expert in compliance with international maritime regulations and standards. During their time at OneOcean, the company rapidly expanded to 12 offices across the globe. In their role as Group Head of HR, Lorna was responsible for managing the entire employee lifecycle and ensuring compliance with all statutory regulations.

Since joining Shaftesbury PLC in November 2021, Lorna has been responsible for leading the HR team and implementing all people-based processes in line with the company’s strategy. Under their leadership, the HR team has successfully navigated the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic and contributed to the monthly CEO updates.

Lorna Hyde has a certificate in workplace mediation from ACAS, a CIPD in human resources management/personnel administration, general from BPP Malpas, and a 2:1 in psychology with French from Middlesex University. Lorna also has certification from OXFORD CAMBRIDGE AND RSA EXAMINATIONS in certificate in workplace mediation and from BPP in MCIPD.

Their manager is Brian Bickell, CEO. They are on a team with Georgina Ellis - PA to Executive Director, Samantha Bain-Mollison - Retail Director, and Chris Ward - Finance Director.
