Kristin Husom

Kristin Husom has extensive work experience in various leadership and coaching roles. Kristin is currently working at Big K Coaching as an Executive Coach and Professional Development Coach since June 2023. Prior to that, they worked at the Shakopee Mdewakanton Sioux Community (SMSC) as the Director of Leadership, Learning & Engagement, starting in September 2021. At SMSC, they played a crucial role in organizational transformation and leader development.

Before joining SMSC, Kristin held positions at Starkey Hearing, where they served as the Director of Talent from July 2020 to August 2021 and as the Director of Engagement & Development from April 2017 to July 2020. At Starkey Hearing, they focused on leadership development, communications, and enhancing the employee experience.

Earlier in their career, Kristin worked at KLDiscovery as the Sr. Manager of Corporate Communications and Events from April 2015 to April 2017. Kristin also gained significant experience at Kroll Ontrack, where they held various roles including Corporate Communications Program Manager, Senior Internal Communications Specialist, and Marketing Communications Specialist from 2007 to 2015.

Kristin's professional journey began at Timber Lodge Steakhouse, Inc. as a Corporate Trainer from October 2004 to October 2005. Kristin also worked at Peter Rogers & Associates, Inc. as an Account Assistant from March 1995 to October 1996.

Overall, Kristin has demonstrated expertise in leadership development, coaching, communication, employee engagement, and organizational transformation throughout their diverse work experience.

Kristin Husom obtained their Bachelor's Degree in International Relations from the University of Minnesota in 1992. Currently, they are pursuing an Executive Coaching Certificate from the Center for Coaching in Organizations, with an expected completion date in 2023.
