Laura Deutsch

Laura Deutsch is an accomplished author and workshop leader with extensive experience in writing education and freelance writing. Currently affiliated with Shambhala Publications as an author since December 2011, Laura has also been leading writing retreats in various locations since September 2008. As a writing teacher and coach, Laura has conducted workshops on topics such as personal essay, memoir, and writing as a spiritual practice since 1997, while simultaneously contributing personal essays and features to esteemed publications, including the Los Angeles Times and San Francisco Chronicle. Laura Deutsch & Associates serves as a marketing consultancy since 1995, complementing a rich background in academia, having taught at institutions like UC Berkeley and San Francisco State University. Educational credentials include an AB, cum laude from Bryn Mawr College and a JD from the University of Chicago Law School.
