Heidi Leavitt-Hornmoen, CPA, PMP, has a diverse range of work experience spanning over two decades. Heidi has held various roles in different industries, including Shannex Incorporated, Emera Inc., LCM Property Management Services, Ergoworks Atlantic, Art Gallery of Alberta, Commonwealth Insurance Company, Hager & Associates Inc., and Jigsaw Computers Inc.

At Shannex Incorporated, Leavitt-Hornmoen worked as the Director of Business Systems Analysis, where they oversaw software solutions across multiple business areas and managed a team of professionals. Heidi also served as the Senior Finance Manager, responsible for project management and implementing quality improvement initiatives. Prior to that, they were the Finance Manager, overseeing payroll processes and managing a team of specialists.

At Emera Inc., Leavitt-Hornmoen worked as a Corporate Accountant, where they amalgamated financial roles and improved efficiency by documenting tasks and training new hires.

Leavitt-Hornmoen worked as an Accountant at both LCM Property Management Services and Ergoworks Atlantic, where they performed various accounting duties and implemented internal controls and processes.

Heidi also worked as a Senior Financial Analyst at the Art Gallery of Alberta, an Internal Control Auditor/Financial Accountant at Commonwealth Insurance Company, and an Accountant and Operations Manager at Hager & Associates Inc.

Heidi Leavitt-Hornmoen, CPA, PMP has a diverse education history with a focus on accounting, business administration, and project management. Their educational journey began in 2005 at CGA-NS in Halifax, where they obtained their CGA Designation in Accounting, completing their studies in 2013. In 2011, they pursued a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Business/Commerce, General at Laurentian University/Université Laurentienne, which they successfully earned in 2013.

Heidi further enhanced their knowledge and skills in business by completing an Executive Business Leadership Certificate at Dalhousie University, from 2016 to 2017. This certificate program expanded their understanding of Business Administration and Management, General.

To strengthen their expertise in accounting and finance, Heidi obtained two certificates from the Corporate Finance Institute® in 2019. The first was the Certificate of Budgeting and Forecasting, followed by the Certificate Dashboard & Data Visualization, which provided their with specialized knowledge in financial analysis and reporting.

In 2021, Heidi pursued a certification in project management from the Project Management Institute Chennai Chapter. This venture resulted in their attaining the title of Project Management Professional (PMP), demonstrating their proficiency in project management principles.

In addition to their formal education, Heidi has pursued additional certifications to further augment their professional accomplishments. In October 2021, they obtained the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute. In April 2022, they acquired the Robotic Process Automation Fundamentals for Accounting and Finance Professionals Certificate from the Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada (CPA Canada). These certifications showcase their commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
