Chasity Burns, M.Ed. has a diverse work experience spanning several industries and roles. Chasity started their career as a Writing Tutor at Penn State University in 2005, where they worked until 2008. Then, they interned at Penn State Public Media, WPSU as a Video On Demand Writing and Research Management Intern. In 2008, Chasity became a Teach For America Corps Member, teaching in Prince George's County Public Schools until 2010. Following that, they worked as a 1st Grade Teacher and PreK Teacher at Prince George's County Public Schools from 2008 to 2011. From 2011 to 2013, Chasity served as an Admissions Advisor at ECPI University. Chasity then worked as a Career Services Coordinator at the Aviation Institute of Maintenance from 2013 to 2014. Since 2014, Chasity has been associated with SHAPE America, starting as an Education Assistant and gradually moving up to the position of Education & Meetings Manager. Currently, they hold the role of Director of Professional Learning Events & Programs at SHAPE America. In this role, they oversee the development and implementation of professional learning opportunities, such as national conventions and other events, while managing budgets and ensuring a high-quality experience for attendees.

Chasity Burns, M.Ed., completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Media Studies from Penn State University from 2004 to 2008. Following this, they pursued a Master of Education degree in Curriculum and Instruction at George Mason University from 2008 to 2010.
