Mark Burke

Mark Burke has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Mark began their career as a Topographic Land Surveyor in the US Army from 1991 to 1996. Mark then worked at Charles Schwab from 1997 to 2012, where they held various positions including Senior Staff and Helpdesk support. From 2012 to 2017, Mark worked as an IT Analyst at Fermilab and Dell Technologies/NTT Data, Inc. Mark also worked as an Independent Contractor/HRIS Analyst/IT Service Consultant/Talent Acquisition Associate at KeHE Distributors in 2017, optimizing job posts and increasing traffic to the career site. Mark joined Topco Associates LLC in 2017 as a Senior HRIS Operations Analyst and later became the HRIS Operations Analyst. In 2021, they joined Vistex as the HCM Ops Manager and in 2022, they became the HCM Operations and Analytics Manager. In 2022, Mark also worked at project44 as Director of People Technology. Currently, they work at Shape Technologies Group as the Director of Global HR Systems.

Mark Burke attended Concordia University-Wisconsin from 1997 to 2013, where they obtained an AA degree in Business Management. In 1991, they joined the US Army and attended the Defense Mapping School, earning a Certificate in Basic Geodetic Survey. Additionally, in 1995, they briefly attended Central Texas College, studying General Studies. Mark went on to earn a Bachelor of Science degree in Management Information Systems from Concordia University Chicago, graduating in 2016.

Mark also has various certifications. Mark obtained the MCSA: Windows 8 certification from Microsoft in January 2014. Prior to that, in November 2013, they obtained certifications in MTA: Networking Fundamentals, MTA: Security Fundamentals, MTA: Windows Server Administration Fundamentals, and MCPS: Microsoft Certified Professional. In October 2013, they also earned the MTA: Windows Operating System Fundamentals certification. Furthermore, Mark obtained a Business Management certification from Concordia University Wisconsin in December 1999, and a Basic Geodetic Surveying certification from the Defense Mapping School in December 1991.
