Balázs Kisfali has a diverse work experience in various industries. Balázs is currently the CEO and Co-founder of Shapemaker, where they aim to innovate civil engineering through their skills as a senior structural engineer, full-stack developer, and entrepreneur. Previously, they founded and served as CEO of Kisfali Engineering AS, a professional service firm providing structural engineering services for the telecom and AEC industry. Their work involved using the latest technologies and computational design techniques to optimize structural weight and embodied CO2. Additionally, they developed engineering software and assisted companies in their digital transformation in civil engineering. Prior to that, they held roles at Jarlsø AS as a CTO and Manager of Structural Engineering, focusing on telecom solutions, structural analysis, production management in China, field work in Africa, and IT development. Balázs also served as the CEO of MBT Eastern Central Europe, Project Manager at Z&Z Investment Ltd., CEO of InvestLead Development and Consultant Inc., and Managing Director/Co-founder of A.Beaver Building and Provider Ltd.

Balázs Kisfali has an extensive education history in the field of engineering. Balázs first attended Pollack Mihály Technical High School from 1989 to 1995, where they obtained their high school degree in Civil Engineering Technology/Technician. Following this, from 1995 to 1999, they attended the University of Pécs Pollack Mihály Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology and earned a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.

To further their education, Balázs pursued a Master's degree in Structural Engineering from Budapest University of Technology and Economics, which they obtained from 1999 to 2003. Balázs also pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Structural Engineering from Széchenyi István Egyetem, completed between 2010 and 2011.

In addition to their academic qualifications, Balázs Kisfali has obtained several certifications and awards throughout their career. These include "Introduction to Financial Accounting" from Wharton University of Pennsylvania, achieved through Coursera in April 2020, and "Architecting with Google Cloud Platform Specialization" obtained in November 2018, also through Coursera. Balázs has also obtained Professional Development Hours (PDH) from RISA Technologies in November 2013. Balázs has won the 3rd Prize in the Technical Science Conference at Budapest University of Technology and Economics in November 2002, specifically for their work on "The big shell structures." Additionally, they hold certifications in technical control on civil engineering subjects, including "Technical Controller on Civil Engineering on Underground Subjects" and "Technical Controlling on Civil Engineering on Buildings," both obtained from the University of Pécs Pollack Mihály Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology in September 2008.
