Johanna Elsemore

Johanna Elsemore is an experienced public affairs professional currently serving as the Associate Director of Media & Public Affairs at Share Our Strength since July 2015, where leadership in public affairs strategies has enhanced visibility and support for initiatives like No Kid Hungry. Prior roles within Share Our Strength involved developing communications strategies and earned media tactics that significantly boosted the visibility of No Kid Hungry campaigns. Johanna has also worked in various capacities in the United States Senate, including scheduler and executive assistant for Senator Tim Johnson, and has engaged in significant community organizing through positions such as Field Organizer for Obama for America and Community Building and Social Change Fellow at Emory University. An educational background includes a Master of Science in Nutrition Education from American University and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Emory University. Additionally, Johanna is a Social Innovation Fellow at StartingBloc, contributing to leadership development for positive change.
