Chela O'Connor

Chela O'Connor is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in contract management, compliance, and community development. Currently serving as the Director of Contracts and Compliance at Shared Medical Services, Inc. since February 2022, Chela oversees operations at a leading supplier of specialized imaging solutions. In addition, Chela is the Business Owner of CJ Family Properties, which focuses on ethical and sustainable real estate investments. Previous roles include Community School Planner for the Madison Metropolitan School District, Community Development Block Grant Specialist for Dane County, and Financial Resource Manager at the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation. Chela's career also includes significant positions at the Public Service Commission of Wisconsin, where oversight of the Universal Service Fund was a key responsibility. Chela holds a JD from the University of Wisconsin Law School, a BA in Rhetoric from the University of California, Berkeley, and has studied at Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio de Janeiro.
