Jay Malcolm began their career in 1991 working in Corporate Banking at Fifth Third Bank. In 1997 they became the Assistant Regional Director for Wycliffe Bible Translators. In 1999, they moved to Dana Commercial Credit as an Investment Analyst. In 2000, they returned to Fifth Third Bank as a Vice President in Corporate Banking. In 2005, they moved to Huntington National Bank as a Vice President in Corporate Banking, where they managed corporate banking relationships in a variety of industries. In 2011, they became the CEO of Velocity Business Brokers, a business consulting firm. In 2012, they joined Expand Interactive as a Senior Consultant, working across industries to improve business performance for multi-location organizations. Finally, in 2017 they joined Sharetec Systems as a Senior Account Executive, delivering core banking software and debt collection software throughout the United States and the Caribbean.
Jay Malcolm began their education at Ann Arbor Gabriel Richard High School from 1984 to 1986. Jay then transferred to Pioneer High School from 1986 to 1987. After graduating, they attended Hillsdale College from 1987 to 1991, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts in Finance. Jay then attended The University of Toledo from 1992 to 1994 and earned an MBA in Management.
