Zachary Contreras has a diverse work experience in the healthcare industry. Zachary currently holds the position of Director of Pharmacy Benefits at Sharp Health Plan since May 2020. Prior to this, they were the Vice President of Account Management at MedImpact Healthcare Systems, Inc. where they led a team in managing top managed care organization clients. Zachary also worked at Sutter Health as the Pharmacy Benefits Coordinator for SutterSelect, successfully reducing pharmacy spend and trend. Before that, they were the Senior Pharmacist and Manager of Pharmacy Benefit & Claims at Blue Shield of California where they oversaw the pharmacy benefits program. Zachary has also held positions at IMS Health/MedInitiatives Inc. as the Director of Pharmacy Solutions and Senior Manager of Pharmacy Informatics, as well as at Pharmaceutical Care Network/NMHC, Inc. as the Director of Utilization Review.

Zachary Contreras completed their education at the University of the Pacific, where they obtained a Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree in 1988, specializing in Pharmacy.
