Yoelia Nava

Yoelia Nava has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Yoelia began their career in 2000 as a Procurement Systems Specialist at McAllen ISD, where they worked until 2004. Yoelia then served as an Elementary School Counselor at Donna Independent School District from 2004 to 2006. In 2006, they worked as a Licensed Professional Counselor - Intern at Pinkerman & Gonzalez Psychological Associates, P.C. before becoming an Elementary School Counselor at R.D. Martinez Elementary School in Sharyland ISD from 2006 to 2008. Yoelia continued their career at Sharyland High School as a High School Academic Counselor from 2008 until 2014. Currently, Yoelia holds the position of Director of Career & Technical Education at Sharyland ISD, a role they have held since 2014.

Yoelia Nava completed a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration with a focus on Computer Information Systems from The University of Texas-Pan American, between 1994 and 1998. Yoelia then pursued a Master's Degree in Counselor Education with a specialization in School Counseling and Guidance Services from The University of Texas-Pan American, which they completed between 2002 and 2004.
