Richard Stead

Richard Stead has over 20 years of work experience in the finance industry. Richard is currently the Head of Risk Management, Business Finance at Shawbrook Bank since January 2019. Prior to this, they held various roles at Close Brothers, including Head of Portfolio & MI, Commercial Division from February 2016 to December 2018, and Portfolio Credit Manager from October 2012 to January 2016. Richard also worked as a Relationship Director at Barclays from November 2011 to September 2012, and as an AVP at Barclays Investment Bank from August 2007 to November 2011. Richard began their career in 1998 as an Assistant Corporate Manager at Nat West Corporate & Commercial Banking and went on to work in various roles at Royal Bank of Scotland, Tearfund, Bayerische Landesbank, and Barclays before joining Close Brothers and later Shawbrook Bank.

Richard Stead attended Leeds Grammar School from 1988 to 1995. Richard then pursued a Bachelor's Degree in Modern European Studies from NTU, completing it from 1995 to 1998.
