Jerald Bass is an accomplished culinary professional with extensive experience in education and food service management. Currently serving as a Culinary Professor at Sheldon ISD since July 2019, Jerald also operates as a self-employed Chief Executive Officer and Culinary Instructor since February 1999. Jerald previously held the position of Executive Chef at OTG Management (July 2018 - August 2024) and Executive Chef/Food-Service Director at The GEO Group, Inc. (August 2011 - May 2018), where significant achievements included reducing food costs and ensuring compliance with dietary standards. Early culinary experience includes roles as Banquet Chef at the Petroleum Club of Houston and Chef in the US Navy. Jerald holds a Master's degree in Hospitality Management from Conrad N. Hilton College and degrees in Hotel Restaurant Management and Culinary Arts from the University of Houston and San Jacinto College, respectively.
