Clara Newton

Clara Newton is an experienced book reviewer currently working at Shelf Awareness since July 2022, where numerous reviews of upcoming releases are published weekly in an online format. In June to July 2024, Clara participated as a research fellow in the Los Angeles Review of Books Publishing Workshop, gaining insights from over 40 industry professionals on various aspects of the publishing process. Prior to these roles, Clara served as an academic tutor for elementary school students in reading, writing, and mathematics in April and May 2022, and worked as a barista at The Coffee House by CHOMP from November 2018 to May 2019. Clara holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Language and Literature from the University of San Diego, completed in May 2024, and graduated from Santa Ynez Valley Union High School in 2020.
