Jeremy Vila

Jeremy Vila is a seasoned professional in deep learning and artificial intelligence, currently serving as Manager of Deep Learning and AI Innovation and AI Innovation Lead at Shell since January 2017. In these roles, Jeremy focuses on applying advanced machine learning techniques to real-world challenges across multiple business sectors within Shell. Prior experience includes contributions as a Machine Learning Researcher at Shell, where the focus was on developing novel deep learning algorithms for subsurface problems, and as Technical Staff at MIT Lincoln Laboratory, where Jeremy created data analytic tools for cyber threat detection. Academic credentials include a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering and a B.S. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from The Ohio State University, complemented by various research assistant roles related to signal estimation and hyperspectral imaging.
