James Merrill

Jim is Director of our Princeton office and has been part of SM&W since the firm’s inception in 1986. He has been working in the acoustic, noise & vibration control field for over 30 years.

Jim has experience in all project types including both retrofit and new construction, and all aspects of architectural, mechanical and electrical system acoustics, noise and vibration control. He has conducted innumerable surveys and analyses to determine appropriate acoustic design goals, system acoustic performance requirements, noise control features and elements. He has conducted factory tests to confirm performance, and commissioned systems to verify compliance with acoustic goals and regulations.
