Mo Abdi, MD FRCPC, serves as the Medical Director of Radiation Oncology at Shenandoah Medical Center since July 2023 and holds the position of Associate Editor at Advances In Radiation Oncology (ASTRO) since May 2019. Abdi chairs the Student Engagement Committee at the University of Minnesota Medical School and has been the President of the Medical School Alumni Board since November 2021, focusing on supporting the school’s mission and overseeing board activities. Previously, Abdi practiced as a Radiation Oncologist at MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center from July 2019 to June 2023 and held the role of Chief Resident in Radiation Oncology at Queen's University from July 2017 to June 2018. Academic contributions include a Clinical Research Associate position at The Ottawa Hospital in 2009-2010. Abdi's educational qualifications include a Master's degree in Education from Queen's University (2019-2024), a Radiation Oncology FRCPC from Queen's University (2014-2019), a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) from the University of Minnesota (2010-2014), and a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Physical Sciences from McMaster University (2004-2009).
