Elizabeth Ryznar is an accomplished medical educator and psychiatrist with extensive experience in clinical and academic settings. Currently serving as the Director of Medical Education at Sheppard Pratt since May 2022, Elizabeth previously held positions including Assistant Professor of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and Assistant Faculty and Clinician Educator Research Fellow at the same institution. Elizabeth's residency in psychiatry was completed at McGaw Medical Center of Northwestern University, where treatment was provided to numerous patients in both acute-care and outpatient environments. Notable achievements include recognition through the Laughlin Fellowship and the APA/APAF Leadership Fellowship for leadership and innovation in the field of psychiatry. Elizabeth earned an MD from Harvard Medical School, an MSc in Comparative Social Policy from the University of Oxford, and a BA in Chemistry and Physics from Harvard University, complemented by a high school diploma from Phillips Academy.
