Nature Duran-Smith

Nature Duran-Smith, LMSW, is a dedicated mental health professional currently serving as a School-Based Mental Health Therapist at Sheppard Pratt's Youth First Care Program since September 2023. With a Master's degree in Social Work from the University of Maryland, Baltimore, Duran-Smith has accumulated diverse experience across various roles, including as a School Social Work Intern with Prince George's County Public Schools, where support was provided to students and families in overcoming academic challenges. Previous internships include clinical social work with justice-involved adolescents at the Office of the Public Defender Maryland and therapeutic support at Vesta, Inc. Duran-Smith has also contributed as a Teacher's Assistant at both Towson University and The Goddard School, emphasizing the importance of early childhood education and mental health awareness.
