Courtney Martin

Courtney Martin has a diverse work experience in the education field. Courtney is currently the Head of School at Sheridan School, starting in 2023. Prior to this, they were the Associate Head of School at Collegiate School from 2021 to 2023. From 2016 to 2021, they served as the Director of Lower School at Hawken School. Courtney also worked as the Director of Upper Primary School at the Bishop John T. Walker School for Boys from 2014 to 2016. In addition, they were a 5th-grade lead teacher at The Lovett School from 2011 to 2014 and a 1st-grade teacher at the Bishop John T. Walker School for Boys from 2010 to 2011. Courtney started their teaching career as a 5th-grade teacher at St. Stephen's & St. Agnes School from 2006 to 2010 and as a teaching apprentice at Shady Hill School from 2005 to 2006.

Courtney Martin has a solid education history. Courtney first attended Hampton University from 1999 to 2003, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology. Following this, they pursued a Master of Social Work (MSW) degree at The University of Georgia from 2003 to 2005. Lastly, they attended Lesley University from 2005 to 2006, where they obtained a Master's degree in Elementary Education and Teaching.
