Jeroen Arendsen

Jeroen Arendsen is an experienced professional in the fields of healthcare, technology, and design, currently serving as Employee Quality and Innovation - Coordinator at Sherpa since September 2015. With a rich background as a founder and CEO of Robots that Care, Jeroen promotes the integration of robotics in healthcare, particularly in assisting individuals with autism and dementia. In addition to roles as an Independent Expert for ICT and Healthcare with both the European Commission and the Eurostars Programme EUREKA, Jeroen leads SIC Gamelab and contributed as Design Lead at Illuminoo. Previous experience includes a PhD in Industrial Design Engineering from Delft University of Technology, where Jeroen focused on Gesture Recognition, and research on Human-Machine Interaction at TNO Defence, Security and Safety. Jeroen's career also encompasses various positions in social care, emphasizing support for individuals with mental disabilities.
