David Ketel, P.Eng. MBA, CMRP, LSSBB, has extensive work experience in various leadership roles in the mining and manufacturing industries.
David most recently served as the Vice President of Asset Management at Sherritt International Corporation since October 2023.
Prior to that, they were the Operations Manager and Maintenance Manager at Teck Resources Limited from 2018 to 2023, where they were responsible for overseeing safe and environmentally responsible production and managing maintenance work control.
From 2018 to 2021, Ketel worked as a Technical Expert at the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).
Before that, they held positions at Cameco Corporation from 2015 to 2018, including Maintenance Superintendent and Chief Maintenance Engineer, where they implemented reliability best practices and managed maintenance and engineering functions.
Ketel worked at The Mosaic Company from 2012 to 2015, serving as Safety Superintendent, Continuous Improvement Coordinator II, and Maintenance Engineer, where they facilitated safety programs, conducted root cause analysis, and provided technical engineering support.
David also has experience as a Supervisor at BOMBARDIER, a Mechanical Design Specialist at KBM Resource Group, and an Engineering Intern at Hydro One.
Ketel began their career as a Production Manager and Design Specialist at Ag Shield Manufacturing from 2003 to 2010.
