Thomas Jost

Thomas Jost has extensive work experience in the field of urban planning, design, and sustainable infrastructure. Thomas currently serves as the Chief Operating Officer at Sherwood Design Engineers, where they lead the development of the practice in various cities. Thomas is involved in designing resilient master plans and sustainable infrastructure solutions, including the notable project of Resilient Bridgeport.

Prior to their current role, Thomas worked as a Senior Urban Strategist at WSP USA, where they led the Urban Strategies practice and collaborated on sustainable infrastructure projects across the United States. Thomas also led the development of Transit-Oriented Development projects and designed new Bus facilities in Raleigh, NC, among other projects.

Thomas has also held positions at Arup, James Corner Field Operations, HOK, Edwards and Kelcey, the Office of the Staten Island Borough President, and the City of New York - Division of Real Property. In these roles, they contributed to various projects and initiatives related to urban planning, transportation, real estate, and community development.

Thomas Jost attended Lehigh University from 1983 to 1987, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics. Later, from 1990 to 1992, they attended Pratt Institute, where they completed a Master of Urban Design (M.U.D.) program with a focus on Urban Design.
