Cynthia Mennear has a diverse work experience starting from their role as a Server at Westwood Retirement Resort in 2008. Cynthia then worked as a Sports and Education Coordinator at PacificSport Okanagan in 2013, where they developed and led programs to encourage youth to increase activity levels. Cynthia also worked at The University of British Columbia as a Teaching Assistant and Front Desk Agent from 2012 to 2014. Cynthia then joined EY as a Staff Accountant from 2014 to 2016. Cynthia continued their accounting career at BDO Canada as a Senior Accountant from 2016 to 2018. Cynthia then moved to Deloitte, where they held roles as a Senior Consultant and Assistant Manager - Advisory from 2018 to 2020. Cynthia's next career move was to The Siegfried Group, where they worked as an Associate Manager and Team Leader from 2020 to 2021. Cynthia joined Volta Charging in 2021 as a Director, SEC Reporting and Technical Accounting until 2022. Currently, Cynthia is serving as the Director of Technical Accounting and Revenue at Shield AI.
Cynthia Mennear has a Bachelor of Management degree in Accounting from The University of British Columbia. Cynthia is also a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) of Canada through the Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada (CPA Canada). Additionally, they hold a certification as a Microsoft Excel Expert (Office 2016) from Microsoft, obtained in 2021.
