Dan Imbat has a diverse work experience in various industries and roles. Dan is currently serving as the Senior Director Strategic Engagement at Shield AI, a defense-technology company that supports operations with the US Department of Defense and allies. Additionally, they are a Stanford Hoover Veteran Fellow at The Hoover Institution, where they collaborate with military veterans to bring innovation and action to policy awareness and implementation. Dan also established the initial Group 1 UAS training capability at Naval Special Warfare Training Detachment.

Earlier in their career, Imbat worked as an Air Operations Officer at Naval Special Warfare Group ONE and as a Helicopter/LAMPS Element Coordinator at Destroyer Squadron 21, managing and employing a variety of coalition and US Navy helicopters.

Dan Imbat has completed the Next Step Executive Education program at The Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth in 2017. Dan is currently enrolled in the Stanford Ignite, Entrepreneurship & Innovation program at Stanford University Graduate School of Business since 2020. Additionally, Dan Imbat has obtained several certifications in unmanned aircraft systems operation and instruction throughout their career.
