Stan Finkler has a diverse work experience in the software engineering field spanning over several decades. Stan started their career as a Software Engineer at CADMAX Corporation in 1991 where they were responsible for designing and developing components and utilities for the company's CAD package. During their time there, they created bi-directional translators and a VESA Graphics Driver.
In 1995, Stan joined MICROS Systems Inc (now Oracle) as a Principal Software Engineer. In this role, they were in charge of architecture, design, and development of MICROS's Point of Sale offerings. Their notable achievement during this period was leading the development of the Simphony 2.0 Point of Sale System.
In 2014, Stan became the Director of Development at Gusto (Cloud POS), a venture-backed startup. Here, they oversaw product development and successfully transformed the existing Cloud-based POS system into an Omni Channel API driven Cloud Restaurant Operating System. Stan also managed costs effectively by integrating an offshore team into the existing development team.
Most recently, Stan joined Shiji Group in 2018 as the Senior Director of Software Engineering. Additional details about their role are not provided.
Stan Finkler earned a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the University of Maryland Baltimore County from 1990 to 1993. Stan then pursued a Master's degree in Computer Science from the same university from 1997 to 1999.
