Daniel Zheng

Daniel Zheng has a strong background in IT, with experience in various roles within the pharmaceutical industry. Daniel is currently working at Shionogi Inc. as the Associate Director of IT R&D Systems, where they serve as the IT business partner for the global R&D unit. In this role, they are responsible for applications roadmap and strategy, solution delivery, change management, operation support, and lifecycle management.

Prior to their current position, Daniel worked at Ferring Pharmaceutical as a Senior System Analyst for R&D Systems and Applications from 2015 until 2020. In this role, they were involved in system analysis and played a crucial role in the development and maintenance of R&D systems and applications.

Before joining Ferring Pharmaceutical, Daniel worked at Sanofi as an IT Project Manager. Daniel led a document and content management project to implement the eTMF solution for client R&D clinical trial documents management. Daniel Zheng received their Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (E.E.) from Shanghai University in 1990. Daniel then pursued further education and obtained a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering (M.E.) from The City College of New York between 1991 and 1994. In 2006, Daniel completed a Master Certificate in Project Management from the University of Maryland between 2006 and 2008. Finally, in 2010, they obtained an M.B.A degree from the University of Maryland Global Campus.
