Director, Global Antimicrobial Resistance Policy at Shionogi

Monika Schneider, Ph.D. has a diverse work experience in various sectors including healthcare policy, science policy analysis, project management, and academia. Currently, they hold the position of Director of Global Antimicrobial Resistance Policy at Shionogi Inc. Monika has also served as an Advisory Board Member for WIB-Capital Region and held leadership roles such as Chair and Vice Chair of the Capital Region Chapter at Women In Bio - Engage. Educate. Empower. In addition, they worked as an Editor of Value and Access at DIA Global Forum and as a Managing Associate and Research Associate at the Duke-Margolis Center for Health Policy. Prior to that, they were a Science Policy Analyst at The American Association of Immunologists. Monika started their career as a Senior Postdoctoral Associate and Postdoctoral Associate at the Sanford Burnham Prebys Medical Discovery Institute. Monika also gained experience as a Project Manager at Oxbridge Biotech Roundtable and as a Contract Editor at American Journal Experts. Their academic journey began as a Postdoctoral Scholar and Doctoral Candidate/Research Assistant at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Monika started their career as a Cancer Research Training Award Post-Bac Fellow at the National Cancer Institute. Monika Schneider holds a Ph.D. in Immunology.

Monika Schneider, Ph.D. completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Biological Sciences and Chemistry at Butler University. Following their undergraduate studies, they pursued a doctoral degree in Microbiology and Immunology at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Medicine.
