Silas Lowe

Silas Lowe has a diverse work experience. Silas started their career as an Early Childhood Education Teacher at Austin Independent School District in 2013 and continued in the same role at Metro Nashville Public Schools from 2018 to 2020. In 2020, Silas transitioned to the field of software development by attending Nashville Software School's intensive full-time 6-month software development bootcamp, where they gained expertise in Python, Django, React.js, HTML5, CSS3, and SQL fundamentals. At the bootcamp, they had the roles of both a student and a Software Engineer, working on individual and team-based projects. Since then, Silas has worked as a Freelance Software Engineer and a Front End Developer at Tata Consultancy Services. Silas is currently working as an Associate Software Engineer at ShipStation, starting in October 2021.

Silas Lowe's education history includes obtaining a Full-stack Web Development Certificate from Nashville Software School, which they completed from 2020 to 2021. Prior to that, they attended the University of Massachusetts Amherst from 2001 to 2005, where they earned a Bachelor of Science - BS degree in Social Thought and Political Economics.
