Ranjani Varadan

Ranjani Varadan is a Scientific Advisor at Shiru. Ranjani has also worked as a VP Strategic Ingredients at Impossible Foods from January 2021 to August 2021. Prior to that, they served as the VP R&D at Impossible Foods Inc. from December 2011 to January 2021.

Ranjani has also worked as a science teacher at Pvt School from August 2021 to July 2022. Before that, they were an adjunct professor at Purchase College (SUNY) from January 2011 to June 2011. There, they taught General Chemistry II and Physical Chemistry Lab.

From 2007 to 2010, Ranjani worked as a postdoctoral associate at the New York Structural Biology Center and Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Prior to that, they were a postdoctoral fellow at Stanford University School of Medicine from 2005 to 2006.

Ranjani started their career as a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Maryland, College Park from 2000 to 2005.

Ranjani Varadan has a PhD in Biochemistry from the University of Maryland. Ranjani also has a Master of Science in Biological Sciences from the Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani. Additionally, they have a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani.
