Tariq Zaki

Tariq Zaki has a diverse range of work experience spanning various industries and roles. Tariq is currently serving as the Chief Technology Officer at Shopbox since January 2020. Prior to that, they worked as an Advisor at Saikai Agency starting in January 2022.

Before their current roles, Tariq held the position of Engineering Manager at Red Sift from November 2019 to December 2020. Tariq was responsible for managing the technical team and leading various projects.

Tariq also has experience as a Head of Data & Tech (CTO) at Popertee Ltd. Tariq was a key member of the leadership team and oversaw the overall vision and implementation of the product and data strategy. Tariq managed a team of developers, data scientists, and product managers during their tenure from May 2018 to September 2019.

Furthermore, Tariq worked at SAS, where they held multiple roles. Tariq served as a PreSales & Data Analytics Manager from November 2017 to May 2018 and was responsible for managing the technical team and leading various projects. Tariq also held the position of Senior Data Analytics Consultant & Team Lead from September 2012 to November 2017, where they played a pivotal role in building out the technical team, mentoring new members, and providing assistance and advice to other teams within the organization.

Tariq's earlier work experience includes a brief stint as an Apprentice Electrical Engineer at Kyne and Clyne in 2012, as well as various leadership roles at Leinster Squash and Euro Languages College from 2008 to 2011.

Tariq Zaki's education history starts with their completion of a Leaving Certificate at Blackrock College Secondary School from 2000 to 2006. Tariq then pursued a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) in Electrical Engineering at University College Dublin from 2006 to 2010. In 2010, Tariq enrolled in the UCD Michael Smurfit Graduate Business School and obtained a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Business Analytics by the end of 2011. Continuing their educational journey, from 2013 to 2014, Tariq attended the Irish Management Institute, where they completed a Diploma in Data Business.
