Derek Watson

Derek Watson is an experienced technology leader with a strong background in engineering and product development. Currently serving as Director of Engineering for both Core and Ecosystem at Shopify since September 2020, Derek has previously held the position of CTO at TWG, overseeing cross-functional teams and technical roadmaps from February 2012 to September 2020. Derek's earlier roles include Development Lead positions at Bell Media and CBC, where significant contributions were made to mobile applications and live streaming services.
