James Varga

James Varga is a seasoned technology leader with extensive experience in software engineering and management. Currently serving as a Senior Engineering Manager at Shopify, James oversees multiple R&D teams focused on the Shopify App Store and partner ecosystem. Prior to this role, James held various positions at Deloitte Digital, including Director of Engineering, where leadership included guiding teams through an acquisition and spearheading initiatives in blockchain solutions and EV charging infrastructure. James's technical expertise encompasses a wide range of technologies such as Hyperledger Fabric, AWS, React, and NodeJS, with notable projects involving enterprise blockchain solutions and eCommerce analytics products. Earlier in the career at CASSEN Testing Laboratories, James developed a custom laboratory information management system. James holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Technology Management from Toronto Metropolitan University.
