Joanna Lai, CPA, is a Senior Financial Analyst with extensive experience in commercial finance and technology within the retail sector. Currently employed at Shopify since January 2022, Joanna has held previous positions at Best Buy Canada and PwC, where expertise in financial analysis, auditing, and accounting policies under US GAAP was developed. Joanna's career began at Apple, enhancing customer service skills, and included a foundational role at Coast Capital Savings. An active leader, Joanna served as co-president of the UBC Business Communications Club, showcasing strong organizational and public speaking skills.
