Martin Hejtmánek has a diverse work experience in the field of IT infrastructure and administration. Martin started their career in 2005 at HP as a Unix Problem Manager until 2006. Martin then worked at DHL as a Unix Support Specialist from 2007 to 2008. In 2008, Martin joined WDF - Web Design Factory as a Senior System Administrator. Martin was responsible for the entire IT infrastructure of the company, including local networking, server administration, and installation.

From 2009 to 2014, Martin worked at Glogster EDU as a Senior System Administrator, where they were involved in administration, installation, configuration of servers, system improvement, database administration, user management, networking, and monitoring. In 2014, they joined ZOOT a.s. as a Senior System Administrator, where they handled administration, configuration, performance tuning, and monitoring of Linux servers. Martin was later promoted to the role of Head of Infrastructure, responsible for IT support, data centers, network and server services, telephony, and user support/help desk.

In 2019, Martin worked at Betsys as a DevOps Team Lead until 2020, where they led the DevOps team in implementing and managing infrastructure and deployment pipelines. Martin also briefly worked at Trixi software s.r.o. as a System Administrator/DevOps in 2020.

Currently, Martin is working as a Senior Linux Administrator at Shoptet. Martin started their role in July 2020 and was subsequently promoted to Operations Team Lead in March 2023.

Martin Hejtmánek attended Stredni Odborne Uciliste Strojirenske a elektrotechnicke from 2000 to 2004. Martin graduated from this institution with a degree in "Setter of CNC machines." In June 2007, they obtained the RHCT Exam certification from Red Hat.
