Andrew Erwin

Andrew Erwin, Ph.D. has a strong academic background and extensive experience in the field of education. Andrew currently serves as the Academic Director at Adelphi University and Shorelight, where they oversee academic operations and serves as a liaison between the two institutions. Prior to this role, they worked as the Program Director for IES Abroad, where they were responsible for program development and management. Andrew also has experience as a Visiting Scholar at Cornell University, a Visiting Assistant Professor at Bowdoin College, and a Lecturer and Doctoral Fellow at The University of Chicago. Additionally, Andrew has worked as an Instructor at the University of Arkansas and as a Literary Advisor and Translator in a self-employed capacity.

Andrew Erwin, Ph.D. obtained their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in English/German from Arkansas Tech University in 2000. Andrew then pursued a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in German at the University of Arkansas from 2001 to 2003. In 2002, Erwin engaged in German Language Teacher Education at the Goethe Institut Berlin. Andrew later attended the University of Chicago, where they completed their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Germanic Studies from 2004 to 2011. Additionally, Erwin spent the year 2006 as a Visiting Graduate Student at the University of Konstanz, specializing in German Studies.
