Jay Woody

Jay Woody, MD, FACEP, is an experienced emergency medicine physician currently serving as a Staff Physician at UF Health Central Florida and has held the position of Chief Medical Officer at Intuitive Health since 2017. As the Chief Medical Officer and Founder of Legacy ER & Urgent Care since 2008, Jay Woody has significantly contributed to the development of freestanding emergency centers through leadership roles in the American College of Emergency Medicine Section on Freestanding Emergency Centers. Additional roles include Emergency Medicine Physician positions at UF Health Jacksonville, Baptist Health Care, ShorePoint Health Port Charlotte & Punta Gorda, ProMedica, Riverview Health, and OU Health. Jay Woody earned a Doctor of Medicine degree from UT Southwestern Medical Center and completed an Emergency Medicine residency at Parkland Memorial Hospital. Educational background also includes a BA in Liberal Arts and Sciences from Harlaxton College and ongoing studies at Texas Tech University with a focus on Biochemistry.
