Dawn Murden's work experience starts with their role as a Telesales Consultant at Telegen in 2008, followed by a position as a News reporter/presenter at WessexTV in 2009. In 2010, they had an internship at Medianett, where they wrote editorial content for various publications. Dawn then worked as a Features Writer and Health & Wellbeing Editor at Full House! Magazine until 2013, where they were promoted to the role from an Editorial Assistant. In 2013, they also worked as a Freelance Journalist for various companies before joining ASTON GREENLAKE PUBLISHING LIMITED as an Editor for Talk Business magazine. At ASTON GREENLAKE, they managed contributors, commissioned exclusive features, and oversaw a magazine redesign. Dawn left due to the relocation of the business. From 2014 to 2017, they worked at Criticaleye as an Editor, Advisory, where they worked with partners from professional services firms, wrote features, and chaired various events and discussions. Since 2017, they have been employed at Shorthand, starting as a Training & Support Manager and rising to the position of Vice President of Customer Success. In this role, they lead a team of Editorial Success Managers and reports directly to the CEO.
Dawn Murden's education history includes attending Bournemouth University from 2007 to 2010, where they obtained a Multimedia Journalism BA (Hons) degree. Before that, they attended Brighton Hove and Sussex Sixth Form College from 2005 to 2007, where they completed their A Levels in Communication Studies, English (Lang. & Lit.), and Media Studies. Prior to their college education, they studied at Dorothy Stringer Brighton from 2000 to 2005 and obtained nine GCSEs, including grades B and above in English, Mathematics, Media Studies, and Leisure & Tourism.
In addition to their formal education, Dawn Murden has several certifications. Dawn completed the Elevator Senior Leadership Programme at AllBright in May 2023. In December 2022, they completed the Customer Success Manager IC course with the Shorthand CS team at SaaSy Sales Leadership. Dawn is also a qualified NCTJ (National Council for the Training of Journalists) professional, which they obtained in March 2010. Furthermore, they hold a Welcome Host certification in Customer Service, received in February 2005. Dawn is currently pursuing a Personal Performance Coaching Diploma and a Corporate & Executive Coaching Programme at The Coaching Academy. Additionally, they are undergoing a 200-hour online Yoga Teacher Training course at Bodsphere.
