Olivia Ji

Olivia Ji has a diverse range of work experience spanning various industries. Olivia currently works as an Editorial Success Manager at Shorthand since March 2022.

Prior to that, they worked at the Better Cotton Initiative from June 2020 to February 2022, where they held multiple roles including Communications Coordinator, Engagement and Events Coordinator, and Events Officer.

Olivia also worked at Unicef UK as a Departmental Assistant for Philanthropy and Partnerships from August 2018 to November 2018, and as a Receptionist from June 2018 to July 2018.

Olivia has experience in marketing and business development as a Marketing Business Development Consultant at Farmonize from October 2017 to December 2017.

Olivia's entrepreneurial experience includes owning and operating a restaurant, Bumbu | Authentic Indonesian Flavours, where they served as the Restaurant Owner-Operator and Corporate Events Planner from August 2013 to December 2017. Olivia successfully managed various aspects of the business, including budgeting, marketing, event planning, and staff management.

Their earlier experience includes roles at Hilton Shanghai Jing An as a Magic Manager and Duty Manager from July 2012 to July 2013, JOEY Restaurant Group as a Lead Serving Assistant from January 2009 to May 2010, Hilton Vancouver Metrotown as a Room Service Attendant from June 2009 to August 2009, The Statler Hotel as a Rotational Restaurant Student Employee from September 2008 to November 2008, and L'Hermitage Hotel Vancouver as a Concierge & Executive Lounge Attendant from May 2008 to August 2008.

Olivia Ji attended Cornell University from 2006 to 2009, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Hotel/Motel Administration/Management. In 2008, they also completed the Sydney Internship Program at Boston University, specializing in Hotel, Motel, and Restaurant Management. Additionally, in 2005, Olivia Ji participated in the Hotel and Tourism Program at New York University.
