Senior Nuclear Software Trainer at Shoulder 2 Shoulder

Richard Rogers has a diverse work history spanning several industries. Richard started their career as a Digital/Microprocessor Instructor at Naval Nuclear Power Training Command from January 1997 to January 2000. From December 2000 to October 2003, they worked as RC Leading 1st at USS Louisville, where they coordinated maintenance and trained personnel on the operations of the Nuclear Propulsion Plant. After that, they served on USS Los Angeles as an RCLCPO from November 2003 to May 2005, supervising personnel and operations of the propulsion plant.

Following their time on the submarine, Richard worked as an Instructor at NPTU Ballston Spa from June 2005 to June 2008. In this role, they ensured the safe and professional operation of staff and students and provided instruction on complex topics related to Reactor Operations.

In 2008, Richard Rogers joined the US Navy as a Nuclear Reactor Engineer and Maintenance Coordinator, supervising troubleshooting, repairs, and coordination of maintenance projects on a US Naval Nuclear Propulsion Plant. Richard also served as RCLCPO on USS Ohio during this time.

Starting in 2012, Richard worked as a 2330 Engineer at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard until February 2013. Then, they joined Inmedius, where they worked until November 2019. During their time at Inmedius, they held multiple roles, including Nuclear Software Systems Instructor and Training Supervisor for Nuclear Systems.

Finally, Richard Rogers worked at Boeing Global Services from January 2019 to November 2019 as a Training Supervisor. Currently, they are employed as a Senior Nuclear Software Trainer at Shoulder 2 Shoulder, Inc since November 2019.

Richard Rogers received their Advanced Studies Diploma from First Colonial, Chancellor, and Broad Run High Schools from 1987 to 1991. Richard then pursued a degree in Nuclear Engineering, obtaining an Associate Equivalent from NFAS/NNPS in Orlando, FL from 1992 to 1993. Richard furthered their education by pursuing Engineering Technology and completed their Bachelor of Science (BS) from Thomas Edison between 2010 and 2014.
