Eric Meltzer has a strong background in clinical development, with experience at various pharmaceutical companies. Eric is currently serving as the Vice President of Clinical Development, Cardiopulmonary at Structure Therapeutics since May 2023. Prior to this, they were the Principal Consultant & Founder at Medicines Development Consulting Company, LLC from October 2022. Eric also held the role of Vice President Clinical Development, Respiratory at Pieris Pharmaceuticals from November 2021 to August 2022 and Vice President Clinical Development at Translate Bio, A Sanofi Company from April 2020 to October 2021. Eric Meltzer's education history includes a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Psychology from The Johns Hopkins University in 1991. Eric pursued post-baccalaureate pre-med studies at Columbia University from 1993 to 1994. Eric then attended SUNY Health Science Center in Brooklyn and obtained a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degree in 2000. Eric completed an Internship/Residency in Internal Medicine at Montefiore Medical Center, Albert Einstein College of Medicine from 2000 to 2003. Eric continued their education by completing a Clinical & Research Fellowship in Pulmonary/Critical Care Medicine at Yale University School of Medicine from 2003 to 2006. Later, Eric conducted a Research Fellowship in Pulmonary/Critical Care at Duke University School of Medicine in 2006 and 2007. Eric Meltzer has also received additional certifications, including a Certification in Medical Affairs in Medicines Development from IFAPP - International Federation of Associations of Pharmaceutical Physicians & Pharm. Medicine in 2022, and certifications in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Medicine, and Critical Care Medicine from the American Board of Internal Medicine.
