Matthew Pope

Matthew Pope has an extensive work experience spanning from 2000 to 2022. Matthew is currently serving as the Vice President Product Engineering at showd.me since January 2022. Prior to this, they worked as the Director of Product Development at MeetingOne from March 2021 to January 2022. From February 2020 to February 2021, Matthew held the role of Vice President of Software Engineering at AbsenceSoft, where they supported the future state SaaS platform Technology Roadmap and managed IT operations and development activities. Matthew also served as the Senior Software Development Manager at AbsenceSoft from June 2019 to February 2020. Before that, Matthew worked at Accenture as the Sr. Principal Manager Research and Development from August 2015 to April 2019 and as the Sr. Software Development Manager from August 2012 to August 2015. Matthew also has experience working at Iron Mountain Records Management, Trader Online Ltd, TIMCO Aviation Services, Option Systems Limited, Wyko Industrial Services, and Exel Logistics in various software engineering and management roles.

Matthew Pope has a diverse education history spanning across several years. In 1996, they obtained a diploma in Financial Accounting and Business Management from Damelin. The following year, in 1997, they earned another diploma from Damelin, this time in Project Management. In 1998, Matthew attended W S & L Training and received a diploma in Software Engineering Design & Development.

In 2006, Matthew pursued a certificate in Introduction to Object Orientated Development from Montgomery County Community College. Continuing their education, they obtained a certification as a Certified Scrum Master from Scrum Alliance in 2011.

Expanding their knowledge, Matthew obtained certifications in various technical areas. In 2007, they completed a certificate program on Introduction to Service Orientated Architecture & Enterprise Service Bus from The Learning Tree, Inc. Additionally, in the same year, Matthew obtained a certificate from Progress Software Corporation in Service Orientated Architecture (SOA) with ESB, MQ, JMS, SOAP, XML, OpenEdge.

In 2017, Matthew Pope attended Singularity University's Exponential Innovation Program, where they gained knowledge and expertise in the field of Innovation. Additionally, they completed a Design Sprints course with Jake Knapp through Clique 5280.
