Wayne Folkes

Wayne Folkes is a seasoned technology professional with extensive experience in cloud architecture and infrastructure engineering. Currently serving as Principal Cloud Architect at Shutterstock since July 2019, Wayne has significantly enhanced the company's AWS account capabilities through automation development. Prior to this role, Wayne spent nearly a decade at Meetup, where various positions included Staff Infrastructure Engineer, Manager of Infrastructure Engineering, and Systems Engineering Manager, leading teams responsible for cloud architecture and data center operations. Wayne also held key roles in technical operations and quality assurance early in the career at Meetup. Before joining Meetup, Wayne held positions in product implementation at Next Jump Inc. Wayne holds a BA in Computer Science from New York University, earned between 1998 and 2003.
