Chris Harner

Chris Harner, FRM, CISSP has extensive work experience in the field of cybersecurity and risk management. Currently, they serve as the Managing Director of Cybersecurity at Sia Partners, where they lead the New York based Cybersecurity practice. Prior to this, they worked at Milliman as a Managing Director in Cyber Risk Solutions and as an Executive Risk Consultant. Chris also held the position of Senior Manager at Ernst & Young for almost a decade. Before that, they worked as the Director of Enterprise Risk Management at MetLife, and as a Regional Investment Officer at AIG. Chris started their career at ABN AMRO, where they served as a Summer Associate in both New York and Moscow. Chris also worked as a Consultant at SigmaBleyzer and as a Summer Associate at MDM Bank. Additionally, they gained experience as a Portfolio Transition Manager at Russell Investments and as a Risk Controller in the Fixed Income division at ABN AMRO.

Chris Harner, FRM, CISSP, holds an MBA in Global Finance and Russian Language from Thunderbird School of Global Management, which they obtained from 2002 to 2003. Chris also possesses a BA in International Affairs and German from the University of Puget Sound, earned between 1991 and 1995. In terms of certifications, they are a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), achieved in September 2021 through (ISC)². Additionally, they hold a Financial Risk Manager (FRM) certification granted by the Global Association of Risk Professionals (GARP) in 2010.
