Ross Cooper

Ross Cooper is a seasoned professional in the field of civil engineering, currently serving as Vice President Tailings Engineer at Sibanye-Stillwater since October 2020. Prior to this role, Ross held the position of Technical Director: Mine Waste Engineering at SLR Consulting and General Manager of the Technical Division at Fraser Alexander. With extensive experience in managing multidisciplinary teams, Ross specializes in the design, construction, and management of mining and solid waste facilities, as well as reclamation projects. Ross also held key roles at Stefanutti Stocks Mining Services as Contracts Director and at Jones and Wagener as Technical Director, contributing significantly to tailings and waste management projects throughout a career that began with a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from the University of the Witwatersrand.
