Gonçalo Amaro's work experience begins in 1999 as a Junior Consultant at Arthur Andersen. Gonçalo then worked as a Senior Consultant at Globalpraxis from 2000 to 2004. From 2004 to 2005, they served as an Internal Consultant at CTT - Correios de Portugal, S.A. In 2007, they held the position of Head of Sales Planning and Control B2C at TV Cabo before transitioning to Portugal Telecom, where they worked as the Head of Sales Planning and Control B2C from 2007 to 2011 and later as the Head of Sales Business Development B2C from 2011 to 2014. Gonçalo then joined Oi S.A in 2014 as the SME Segment Manager. In 2015, they joined Entel, where they initially worked on defining customer journeys and processes, and later became the leader of Frontend developments for the B2C/B2B segment in Chile and Peru. Since 2019, they have been working at SIBS within the Digital & Ecommerce Business Unit.

Gonçalo Amaro's education history is as follows:

From 1995 to 1999, Gonçalo studied Economics at Universidade Nova de Lisboa, earning a Licentiate degree.

In 2005, they pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Economia at Universidade Nova de Lisboa.

In 2006, they also pursued a second MBA degree, this time in Administração de Empresas, at COPPEAD UFRJ.

In 2011, Gonçalo attended Universidade Católica Portuguesa, where they focused on Leadership, Innovation, and Change Management.
